Grooming promotes positive self-esteem and self-worth. That is why here at Noah Assisting Living, we always encourage our residents to groom themselves and assist them with this task to develop independence and enhance the quality of life. Our grooming tasks include shaving, nail and foot care, and skincare, to prevent infection and promote comfort.
When assisting with these grooming tasks, we take into consideration our residents comfort and other preferences, such as:
- Grooming routines
- Favorite toiletries, such as favorite toothpaste, shaving cream, cologne, or makeup
- How they wish to be groomed
- Clothing styles
We also use safer and simpler grooming tools, such as cardboard nail files and electric shavers, to keep them safe.
